New Haven Unified School District Family Learning Series

In response to our district’s parent and staff surveys, the Division of Teaching and Learning has been working on creating a “Family Learning Series”. This project’s desired outcome is to provide academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional support for our families as we continue in Distance Learning.

There are two aspects of this project:

  1. FAMILY LEARNING SERIES WEBSITE
The Division of Teaching and Learning has created a web site which provides academic, behavioral and socio-emotional support and resources for our families. The website is linked here.
  2. SYNCHRONOUS FAMILY LEARNING SERIES
From January – May 2021, the Division of Teaching and Learning will be hosting a series of Family Learning Synchronous Events. The topics being offered are reflective of the areas of need communicated through our parent and teacher surveys and from the needs that have been expressed from our site administrators.

If families are unable to participate when each of these events are scheduled synchronously, they will be recorded and added to the Family Learning Series Website.

Each month, we will be sending information to our families of the events and links in order for them to participate.
